Day 116: Stray Cats

Day 116 of 366; April 25, 2012

_{"Sky? Where are you?" The Virgo wandered around the house, looking for her younger sister. She sighed as she pushed her light teal hair out of her face. "Sky~? Come on out! I need you to try on this dress so that I can fix the measurements!" When it was clear that the Leo was not in the house, she wandered into the backyard. If Sky wasn't in the house, she was probably running around Palamecia with the boys. If only that girl would sit still for once!
She had only been calling out Sky's name for a few minutes when Sky suddenly popper her head over the fence. "Hey Lyla! I heard you calling for me. What's up?" She grinned sweetly at the older girl.
Lyla--the Virgo--jumped, surprised, before regaining her calm and raising an eyebrow at the young girl. "Sky, where have you been? I've been looking for you the entire morning! You promised you would stay in the house! And--" A small mew coming from Sky's direction interrupted Lyla's rant. "...What was that?"
Sky smiled. "Look!" From behind the fence, she brought out a small kitten, no more than six weeks old. "I found it wandering around the street! Can we keep it? Can we? Please?"
Lyla rolled her eyes. "Sky, that's the third stray you've brought in this week. We didn't let you keep the others either."
"But look at how cute it is!"
"It's cute. But you still can't keep it. Now let the kitten go, and come back in so that I can finish making this dress."}

A peek into Sky's childhood. This is before she decided she wanted to become a Shadower, so she'd be about 11/12 years old. When Sky was little, she would often bring home stray animals and try to convince whoever she found first to let her keep it. After the fourth stray, her parents stopped agreeing (it's hard to care for strays when you have travelers in your inn all the time!).

And hello NPC! I don't have an official image for her yet, but her name is Lyla (spelling is still unofficial as well) and she's a Virgo. She has light teal hair, is four years older than Sky (so right now she's 20), and is the second oldest child in the family. She's studying under her and Sky's grandmother as a Herbalist. She likes sewing/cooking/meditation/stuff like that.
